I stood there, watching her, feeling something I couldnt explain.

I burst into laughter. I hadnt expected that.

She grinned but didnt say anything. Instead, she continued arranging her bananas, her hands moving skillfully.

I watched her for a while before asking, That little boy from earlier is he your brother?

Her face changed slightly. A shadow passed over her features.

Yes, she said, her voice quieter now.

What about your parents?

She hesitated, her fingers tightening around a banana. They died years ago.

She nodded, swallowing hard. Its fine. Life must go on.
