Her long soft natural hair
describes her ethnic group which is the Northern part of Nigeria.
She doesnt like to be regarded as
a Fulani, although her school
mates do tease her a times by
saying Aminat Fulani girl.
She would correct them amicably by saying Im an Hausa and not
a Fulani girl. If asked the
difference between the two,
Aminat was ready to give a lecture
on that. She hits her legs several times
to get rid of mosquitoes buzzing in
her ears as if to lure her to sleep
with their irritating lullaby. She
wiped her dried face, repositioned
herself by straightening her legs and rested her back against the
