Grace is 14 years old. She lives with her older sister nina and her younger brother, pule. Nina is 21 and pule is 18.

Nina had looked after grace and pule ever since their parents had passed away. She had not finished school, so she earned an income for the family by selling vegetables along the road. But the money she earned was not enough.

grace could not take the suffering any more. She envied her friends at school. They alway wore the latest fashions and they were always abld to pay their school fees.

One day she met a man called james. He worked for bank and drove a fancy blue car. He said he would support Grace and her family. He would give them money for food, clothes and school fees. Graces sister was against the idea. She said it would be dengerous to get involved with a man like james. He is 20y older than you are, Grace. Is he married? she asked.

yes, he is, said Grace. But he love me. He wants me to be his wife. One day, he will leave his wife and marry me.
for a while, life was easier for Grace and her family. They had money for food, clothes and school fees. But nina was not happyI dont trust james, she told Grace.

you are just jealous because i am having a good time, said Brenda.

But one day, Grace found out than james had another girlfriend at her school. She was angry and upset
